Mackinac Island
By: Loretta

I had the privilege of visiting Mackinac Island and was very impressed with what it had to offer.  I loved strolling the

streets with all their quaint shops, bakeries, small cafes, ice cream parlor and museums. They do not allow cars on the

island, but you can rent bicycles (manual or electric) or take a romantic horse drawn carriage ride.  For those who love

history, they can visit Fort Mackinac, it's worth a stop at the Grand Hotel for an afternoon tea. Sit on one of their rocking

chairs on the verandah and watch the world stroll by.
